As we continue to wait on the 2026 CoC Project Applications being open and available in e-snaps, we have determined that another extension of due dates for submission of Project Applications in e-snaps is warranted. See below for new due dates for the 2026 CoC Montana Local NOFO Competition.
Extended Due Dates:
- July 22, 2026 – All Project Applications due in e-snaps by 5pm (MDT). This includes Renewal, New Project, New Project Transition, YHDP Renewal, and YHDP Replacement.
- July 23, 2026 – Threshold Review of New Project Applications by CoC Staff begins.
- July 27, 2026 – Threshold Review Complete; New Project applicants notified of status:
- Passes Threshold – Project moves forward in selection process.
- Does not pass w/curable deficiencies – applicants have 2 business days to address deficiencies and resubmit – resubmissions due to in e-snaps by 5pm (MDT) on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
- Does not pass w/incurable deficiencies – project does not move forward in the selection process.
- July 29, 2026 – Project Application with curable deficiencies due to in e-snaps by 5pm (MDT).
- July 30, 2026 – Applicants with resubmitted New Project Applications with curable deficiencies notified of status by 5pm (MDT). If deficiencies remain, project will be disqualified and not move forward in the selection process.
- July 31, 2026 – Selection Committee receives New Project Applications.
- August 5, 2026 – Selection Committee meets: 2026 Montana Statewide Continuum of Care Project Priority List is finalized.
- August 6, 2026 – Applicants notified of status.
We understand that these changes in due dates can cause anxiety and frustration. With the uncertainty of not knowing when HUD will open e-snaps, we continue to do our best to find a balance between giving you as applicants as much time as possible and working within our capacity to meet HUD’s timeline requirements.
