Committees
Committees carry out many of the tasks essential to the effective operation of the MT CoC. Committees are designed to bring together diverse expertise to collaboratively address specific areas of responsibility, develop and refine processes, and provide well‑informed recommendations to the Board for approval or revision. Through this structure, committees help ensure that MT CoC activities remain responsive, efficient, and grounded in practical experience.
Committee Eligibility: Any MT CoC member or any staff member of an MT CoC Designated Entity is eligible to serve on a committee. MT CoC Board members are required to serve on at least one committee. Only officers of the Governing Board are eligible to serve on the Executive Committee.
Committees meet at least bi-monthly for up to 1.5 hours, virtually. Each committee has a facilitator who guides the committee towards achieving its objectives while fostering a collaborative environment. The MT CoC has four committees:

The Executive Committee serves as both the working group for the MT CoC Governing Board and oversees Montana Continuum of Care Coalition operations on behalf of the Board. The Executive Committee is comprised of Governing Board officers.

The Recruitment and Membership Committee leads the MT CoC in bringing focused intention to ensuring diverse perspectives in the MT CoC membership and representation on the Governing Board.

The Performance, Evaluation, and Development Committee is responsible for identifying process improvements and making recommendations to the Board on policies and procedures related to all aspects of the successful operation and performance of the MT CoC.

The Coordinated Entry Local Leads and PIT Planning Committee is responsible for overseeing CES planning and operation, and planning for the annual PIT Count throughout the Montana Statewide Continuum of Care.
