2024 Local Continuum of Care Competition Request for Proposals

Posted on in

The Montana Continuum of Care Coalition is seeking Proposals for New Projects for possible inclusion in the Montana Continuum of Care Coalition’s FY2024 Consolidated Application for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO).

Each year the Montana Continuum of Care Coalition competes with other CoCs across the country to secure federal funds to help end homelessness through HUD’s Continuum of Care Program. HUD allows new projects to be funded through CoC or DV Bonus Funds. The total funding available for new projects in Montana will be determined by HUD and announced with the release of the FY 2024 NOFO.

Last year the Montana Continuum of Care Coalition was eligible for $606,853 in CoC and DV Bonus Funds and received $338,179 for new projects in Bozeman, Great Falls, and Helena.

The Montana Continuum of Care Board of Directors has set the following priorities for new projects in the 2024 Local Continuum of Care Competition:

  • Projects serving tribal communities and communities that are currently unserved or underserved by the Continuum of Care Program.
  • Projects that leverage mainstream housing and healthcare resources.
  • New PH-RRH Projects.
  • New Joint TH/RRH Projects

Proposals that align with the above priorities will receive Bonus Points in the Review and Ranking process.

The Montana Continuum of Care Coalition encourages proposals from applicants that have not previously received CoC funds, as well as those applicants that are current or past recipients of CoC funds.  Victim Service Providers are encouraged to apply for DV Bonus Funds.

There will be an informational Q&A on Wednesday, April 10 @ 1pm via Zoom: email david@mtcoc.org for the meeting link.
