HUD Supplemental Notice of Funding Opportunity

On June 22, 2022, HUD announced it is making $322 million in competitive funding available to communities to address unsheltered and rural homelessness through a Special CoC Program Notice of Funding Opportunity. To apply, CoCs will need to demonstrate a comprehensive community approach to reduce homelessness among people experiencing homelessness with severe service needs, especially those with histories of unsheltered homelessness. Funding is available for permanent housing, street outreach efforts and other supportive services, and HMIS

The Montana Continuum of Care is seeking project applicants for funding via HUD’s Supplemental NOFO to Address Unsheltered and Rural Homelessness https://www.hud.gov/program_offices/comm_planning/coc/specialCoCNOFO/supplemental

Available Funding – Supplemental NOFO:

MT 500 Rural Set-Aside: Up to $2,606,012
MT 500 Unsheltered Set-Aside: $2,665,890

Note: Rural Set-Aside projects can only serve geographic areas that meet the definition of a rural area defined in Section III.C.2.kof the Supplemental NOFO

All funding is for grant terms of three years except projects that include acquisition, rehabilitation, or construction, which may have different terms as allowed in the NOFO
